Harrison Pensa is hiring a permanent, full-time Junior IT Technician to join our Information Technology Department. We are seeking a candidate who works well in a small dynamic team and is able to take initiative. As a Junior Technician, the successful candidate will report directly to our Chief Information Officer (CIO) while working closely with the IT Team to support the Partners, Associates and Staff of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide help desk support to Partners, Associates and Staff (onsite and remotely) on office and legal software applications and general desktop/laptop/mobile device troubleshooting;
  • Maintenance of users and equipment for additions, role changes, and terminations in Active Directory and related applications;
  • Assist with and conduct new user setup including account setup, computer imaging and configuration, desk setup and initial deskside support;
  • Support and maintain the firm’s documentation management system including granting and revoking workspace access, renaming/reorganizing files and document deletion;
  • Support and maintain the firm’s phone system and intranet;
  • Hardware repair and maintenance, including printer, copier and scanner maintenance, troubleshooting and issue resolution;
  • Assist with moving IT equipment during internal office moves (set up, relocation and termination);
  • Liaise with third-party vendors whenever necessary;
  • Maintain documentation related to IT systems and general business process functions;
  • Assist with report generation for various departments, along with electronic invoice submission;
  • Issue and manage access cards;
  • Perform logical and physical access reviews, asset reviews, and other entitlement reviews, as required;
  • Assist in assessing workflows and finding ways to improve productivity and efficiencies;
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or related discipline;
  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT Support/Helpdesk role;
  • Experience with iManage, Elite Enterprise, Aderant Sierra, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and SharePoint;
  • Experience with troubleshooting technical issues, issue resolution and general maintenance;
  • Experience with Active Directory and supporting Windows operating systems;
  • Familiarity with various coding languages, such as HTML and PHP;
  • Experience with SQL, query writing, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS);
  • Familiarity with information security controls and collecting evidence for client and regulatory audits;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities;
  • Team player who showcases initiative in a fast-paced professional environment;
  • Quick ability to learn.
