Matt comes to Harrison Pensa with a wealth of experience in roles that straddle the line between IT and the business. Matt prioritizes information security and the confidentiality of client data, as evident through his leading the firm through its first successful SOC 2 Type II audit in 2020.
Matt was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario where he completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Algoma University. In 2015, Matt obtained a certificate as a Certified Information Systems Auditor from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, scoring in the top-3 in Ontario on the certification exam. In 2022, Matt received the CIO of the Year – Next Generation Award from ITWorldCanada.
